Jan gained his previous experience working in the European Parliament, where he assisted the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, participating in the EU legislative process. He joined the BBS team in June 2021 and supports it in the area of EU funds and state aid law, public procurement law and corporate disputes.
His area of interest includes primarily criminal law, humanitarian law and the protection of human rights.
Education
Jan graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He defended his master’s thesis on prosecuting human trafficking. Throughout his time at the University, Jan was actively involved in the student community, being both its representative in the bodies of faculty and university self-government and a member of the collegiate bodies of the University – the UW Senate, the Faculty Council or the Senate Legal and Statutory Committee.
